Fashion + Function = Driving gloves.

I adore gloves. They are the quintessential accessory of style. I feel so nostalgic when I slip on a pair of soft leather gloves – like I’m paying homage to times past. Up until the mid 1950s women didn’t go out in public without a pair of gloves. Same with hats, but that’s another post altogether.

Gloves can give even the most simple outfit character. Depending on the cut or embellishment, gloves can be a statement piece. For an edgy look, chose a none traditional color – basically anything that’s not brown, beige or black. Consider metal studs or cutouts. Want something more feminine? Choose a pair that hits mid-forearm, with buttons or ruffles in a softer color.

Weekend Away

Casual weekend wear perfect for fall. Navy blue blazer pulls the look together for a more preppy feel. Love the coral orange flats – great for this season, and you can pull them out again in the spring. Keep makeup neutral and fresh.

I typically don’t go for oranges or yellows, but this fall designers have done them right. Pair orange and darker yellows with denim for this fall trend.

Autumn is in the air and it’s time to enjoy outdoor cafes before it’s too cool. This outfit is an example of mixing affordable clothing pieces with signature accessories to add character to your look. I love the subtle gold tones of the belt and bracelet. Chanel earrings are always classic and a great investment piece for those on a budget.

I adore Lime Crime Eye Dusts ($12 ea). I think I bought every color since the line launched last year. This month Lime Crime launched their line of super pigmented, crazy bright lip colors ($16 ea). Check them out because this is a brand with staying power.
